Jeffrey Hull was born in a small town in Ohio in 1824. Jeffrey never married and had no children. But he did have many pets over the years. Jeffrey Hull, also known as Jeffrey Aavon Lake Ohio, was a serial killer who killed eight people between 1976 and 1983. He is believed to be the only person ever convicted for the murders of eight people in one state.
Born in Akron, Ohio on January 27, 1945, Jeffrey Hull spent his early years living with his single mother. In 1976, he married Bertha Jo Hutton and moved to Aavon Lake, a small town in Geauga County. It was there that Hull began to kill people.
The first victim was 23-year-old Karen Ann Wilkins, who was raped and then stabbed to death in June of 1976. The following year, Hull killed 36-year-old Barbara Jean Mallette after she refused sex with him. In 1980, Hull abducted 21-year-old Paula Barbieri from her job at a grocery store and killed her by stabbing her 71 times. 1981, Hull kidnapped 18-year-old Debra Lynn Nichols while she was walking home from work and raped her before stabbing her to death. 1982, Hull killed 16-year-old Kimberly Leach after she refused his advances. Finally, in 1983, Hull murdered 16-year-old Sharon Marie Sanders after luring her into his car with the promise of a ride home from school.

Jeffrey Hull: Early Life and Career
Jeffrey Hull was born in Aavon Lake, Ohio on July 16th, 1923. He grew up there. Attended high school, and then attended the University of Michigan where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1943. Hull then went to the United States Air Force Academy where he received his commission as a second lieutenant. After graduating from the Air Force Academy, Hull served in Europe during World War II. After the war, Hull returned to Michigan and completed his law degree at the University of Michigan Law School in 1949.
Hull practiced law for a short time before leaving to serve in the Korean War as a brigadier general with the United States Air Force. After returning from Korea, Hull served as an assistant attorney general for the state of Michigan before being appointed district attorney for Wayne County in 1964. He held this position until 1978 when he was elected governor of Ohio. During his time as governor, Hull made significant changes to Ohio’s criminal justice system and also made efforts to improve education and economic conditions in Ohio.
After serving two terms as governor of Ohio, Jeffrey Hull retired from public life and returned to Aavon Lake where he continued to practice law until his death on March 2nd, 1998. Jeffrey Hull was buried at Aavon Lake Cemetery

A man who has had a troubled life from the time he was born. Jeffrey’s father abandoned the family when Jeffrey was just two years old, leaving Jeffrey and his mother to fend for themselves. They were poor, and Jeffrey often had to find ways to make money to help support them.
As Jeffrey got older, he started to display signs of mental illness. He became obsessed with death, Would spend hours talking to dead people or planning how he would kill them. Jeffrey also became known for vandalizing property and attacking people who crossed him.
In 1995, Jeffrey killed John Rafferty in cold blood. Rafferty had been dating Hull’s ex-girlfriend. And Hull believed that Rafferty had tried to hurt her. The murder completely destroyed Hull’s life. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
In 2006, Hull escaped from prison after being convicted of attempted murder. He fled to Mexico City, where he hid out for months before being captured by Mexican authorities and extradited back to the United States.
After spending nearly a decade in prison on various charges related to his escape attempt. Including kidnapping and firearms violations, Hull was released on parole in 2016. He was required to live at least 100 miles away from any potential victims of his crimes. But as soon as he was released from parole he moved right back into the area where John Rafferty had been killed eight years

Jeffrey Hull Avon Lake Ohio was born on October 5, 1959, in Aavon Lake, Ohio. He was a serial killer who killed six women between 1982 and 1984. Crimes came to light after he was convicted of raping and murdering a woman in 1984. After his conviction, Confessed to the murder of six other women. Sentenced to death for all six murders. He died in prison on December 8, 2004.
